Continued Cooperation and Support

Summer is always a bitter-sweet time in the Warsaw international community, with many departures and new arrivals. While it is always difficult to say goodbye to those we've become fond of, for the underprivileged families we serve there is a positive side to this turnover. Many who are moving on to new horizons kindly donate their excess furniture and household equipment, and we have the privilege of passing all of this on to needy familes. Over the past couple of months we have had so many kind offers of material help, that we have not only been able to service our own "Families In Crisis", but also many of the dependants of various partner foundations. Pictured on the bottom are Mike and Andrzej delivering a badly needed fridge to a single mother and her two children. With the intense heat we have experienced this summer, they were truly happy and thankful to the donors of this very useful piece of equipment!

Above: Magda with Dutch volunteers Els and daughter Marcia visiting needy families. Besides bringing vital material and financial help for medication etc., they were also able to provide some emotional support with their smiles, kind words and gentle enthusiasm.
