Seasonal Service Opportunities
Seasonal Service Opportunities! With not only the cold weather but also the Christmas season fast approaching, we will soon be finalizing the list of needy families that we’ll be seeking to assist via our upcoming aid appeals. Besides various “hands on” volunteering opportunities, we will be presenting 3 Ways to provide material help to the selected families who are undergoing real hardship. “Adopt a Needy Family for Christmas” will offer the possibility of making a financial donation that will go in its entirety to a family of your choice. The use of these funds will be monitored to cover urgent family needs such as heating fuel or utility payments, so that none of the families will be without such basic amenities. “Sponsor a Christmas Present” is where a list of children’s names and ages are made available, in order for donors to select one or more for a gift at Christmas. The 3rd option is to “Provide a Christmas Hamper” of special food and treats for a chosen family.
